About 3 weeks ago (can't believe it's been that long already) we went to LEGOLAND for the first time! The boys have been SUPER into building and creating with legos and the Hixon's were going too. So we made plans to meet them there for the day :)
I chatted with my cousin Lisa, who lives near there, and told her we were coming her way and was hoping for a visit. We got more than that! She had us over to stay the night at her house with her fun family :) We got to her house mid afternoon and the boys were playing with her kids in no time. I went with Lisa to one of her daughters swim lessons and we were able to catch up a bit. We had a fun evening all together, eating dinner, and going to the park to play "monster". I guess her and Brett take the kids there at least once a week to play this game for FHE :) So fun. We took over one of there many bedrooms to crash for the night and in the morning packed up for LEGOLAND. We said our goodbyes and I had to yank baby Leila away from Lisa & her youngest daughter Ali who did not want to give her up! So fun.
25 minutes later, we were pulling into the parking lot of LEGOLAND. As we were unloading and gathering what we would need for the day the Hixon's walked up! They spotted us on their walk over from their hotel. Perfect! The rest of the day was spent together, wandering around the park, building lego race cars, riding on rides, driving lego cars, getting wet and enjoying the amazing creations of legos EVERYWHERE. It's a pretty amazing place if you ask me.
By the end of the day (park closed at 6pm) I know my feet hurt from walking around carrying Leila all day... not sure about everyone else. We went back to Jamie & Dan's hotel room to rest a bit and wait out evening traffic. Back on the road home by 8pmish. Home around 11pmish
The boys all had a great time and keep asking when we are going to go back there again. Maybe in the fall, when school starts back up and we can sneek away. What a great trip we had!
Shooting water guns on the lego boat! Getting a little wet
Playing at the splash park area, getting a lot more wet.
Earning their lego drivers licenses!
Round and round!
Ezra sure loves his big brother Asher! Fueling up at the all you can eat pizza/pasta place.
Dragon tails! Dan & Jamie were brave to ride this robotic arm ride after eating pizza!
Billy chose the highest level to yank him all over the place! It looked gnarly!
All the cousins racing down the big blue slides together! What a fun time, making memories.
Looks fun! Never been. Also jealous you got to hang out with Lisa and family! Can't wait to see you soon at the Grand Canyon!
